Accessibility

Legal technology should be usable under pressure.

YourLegalAid.ca is designed for keyboard access, readable contrast, understandable error messages, large touch targets, and plain Canadian English.

01

Keyboard and structure

Pages use skip links, headings, landmarks, visible focus states, and controls intended to work without a mouse.

02

Readable guidance

Tribunal interviews pair questions with explanations, examples, legal definitions, source links, and actionable error summaries.

03

Responsive presentation

Navigation, form screens, guidance, review, and download controls are designed to work at mobile and desktop widths.

Known limitations

Official PDFs may have accessibility constraints.

The interview experience can make questions easier to navigate, but the final document uses the official PDF supplied by the tribunal. Accessibility limitations in that source document may remain.

If a barrier prevents use of the site, use the Contact page and choose Accessibility. Describe the page, task, assistive technology, and preferred response format without including confidential legal information.
